ABOUT US
The Oakhurst North Thunder was founded to introduce young swimmers to the game of Water Polo. It is supported by our community and through the volunteer efforts of our coaching staff and parent representatives.
Eligible players are those whose addresses reside in the Metea Valley High School district mapping.

The 2026 Oakhurst North Thunder water polo coaches dedicate their time to teaching the sport. Players of the Metea Valley men's and women's water polo teams, the coaches are excited to work with your children this summer.

Hi, I’m Jake MacLeod. I’m a freshman at Indiana University studying finance and real estate. I swam for twelve years and played water polo with the Thunder for six years before continuing in high school. I now play on the IU club men’s water polo team. This is my third year coaching, and I love seeing young players grow and helping spread the love for the game in our community.
Hi, I’m Billy MacLeod. I am a freshman at Indiana University studying finance. I swam for 12 years and played water polo with the Thunder for 6 years then played in high school for all four years. This is my fourth year coaching, and I’ve loved being able to see players continue to improve through the years.

Hi, I’m Ellie Maher! I’ve been playing waterpolo at Metea for the past 4 years and I played club waterpolo for West Suburban Waterpolo Club! I am also a Stonebridge and Maverick Swim Club coach! I love working with kids and teaching, and I’m looking forward to a great summer!

Hi, I'm Ryan Williams. I am a freshman at the University of Iowa on the pre-dental track. I swam for 12 years and played on the thunder for 5. I then continued waterpolo at the high school level for Metea Valley. This will be my second year coaching and I hope to make it a great one. Let’s go Thunder!
